In March 2019 Dr. Daria Tataj with her Colleagues presented her recommendations on the new growth model for Montenegro to Prime Minister Duško Markovic, Minister of Science Sanja Damjanovic, and Minister for Economy, Dragica Sekulic. Montenegro is one of undiscovered tourist destinations. Yet the ambition of the country goes beyond exploiting the beauty of its nature. Over the last year she have been working with the Montenegro government how to build an entrepreneurial innovation ecosystem. The country has few tech startups, no venture capital and minimal tech transfer activities. Where should it start? What legal framework is needed to boost innovation? How to structure public funding instruments for innovation activities? How to attract talent, knowledge and capital?
